Hi! I'm Anna Schnitzler, the banana behind Sassy Banana Design Co. I'm delighted that you've found your way here. This little business started as a way to stay connected with loved ones through personal illustrated greeting cards. It's my passion to share my work with you and foster connection through each card. 

Long story short: I'm originally from New Orleans, LA — born and raised. In 2008 I left NOLA to attend art school at SCAD in Savannah, GA (BFA Illustration, 2012). There, I met met my now-husband Ian as well as some dear lifelong friends who now live across the country. Many of our family members live in different area codes as well. Mail correspondence made a home in my heart as a way to keep in touch with loved ones while we moved from Savannah to St. Petersburg, FL, before settling back here in New Orleans.

Sassy Banana Design Co. took on a life of its own once I quit my "9-5" as a graphic designer & web designer in favor of more creative freedom. In addition to "freelancing," I started selling (very homemade) stationery at local art markets around NOLA. Since then, I've refined my production methods as thousands of Sassy Banana products have made their way into the hands of patrons at markets, retail shops, and beyond. All of my products are still created and packaged with love, in-house. Custom work is available as well for businesses, personal stationery, special events like weddings, and more. 

When I'm not designing stationery, I enjoy walks along the bayou, quality time with friends and family, being a mom, and getting out on the town. I love a good yoga sesh and I'm a bit of a foodie, if you couldn't tell from my greeting cards! It's so important to enjoy all that life has to offer.
